Experience says it all...
Ron, our Meat manager has been working in his field for 40 years. Right out of high school he began working in the meat department at a grocery store in Farmington, MO where he became the Meat Department manager at the age of 20. He later moved on to the Piggly Wiggly for five years then joined The Market Place when the doors opened in 1988. "We strive to keep things fresh. We offer a good product at the cheapest price possible. I have a good crew that try to follow suit behind me. We try to keep a good variety of specialty meats. Everything is hands on: handcut or hand-made," says Ron.
What do you do when you are not in the Meat Department?
"Horses" Ron has 15 horses at home where he enjoys riding and training them for competition. His love for horses began when he was six years old and has grown stronger since. When he goes out on trailrides Ron enjoys cooking steaks for everyone.
What is Ron's Favorite product?
"I'm a steak eater. I base in butter and garlic salt and cook medium-rare" You don't need marinade to cook a great steak just cook it right - medium rare.
